dentsu Promotes Prerna Singh Mehrotra to Chief Client Officer, APAC and CEO, Singapore

dentsu has appointed Prerna Singh Mehrotra as Chief Client Officer, APAC, and CEO, Singapore, expanding her regional responsibilities as the agency network undergoes a leadership transition in the market.

Mehrotra has spent the past decade with dentsu and has served as Chief Client Officer, APAC, for the last three years, alongside her role as CEO, Media, APAC. Her responsibilities have included working across major clients and markets in the region, giving her experience across dentsu's media, client, and regional operations.

In her expanded role, Mehrotra will take responsibility for dentsu Singapore while continuing her APAC client leadership remit. She has also worked closely with the Singapore business for several years. dentsu said her focus will include bringing together its local and regional capabilities and strengthening client relationships across the market.

The appointment follows the departure of Prakash Kamdar, who is concluding a 15-year tenure with dentsu. Kamdar has led dentsu Singapore for seven years and has held leadership responsibilities across Singapore, Indonesia, and Southeast Asia. He joined the network through its acquisition of digital agency The Upper Storey in 2011 and later became CEO of Singapore in 2019.

For dentsu, the leadership change comes as agencies continue to integrate media, technology, data, creative, and client services across regional markets. Singapore remains an important base for regional and global businesses operating across APAC, making the market a key part of dentsu's broader regional structure.

Mehrotra's expanded remit places client leadership across APAC and the Singapore market under a single executive role, reflecting the network's approach to connecting local market operations with broader regional capabilities.
