The Insight Collective has appointed Shane Hannam as its part-time Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, adding his experience across marketing, advertising, sales, and agency relationships to the organization.

Hannam brings more than 30 years of experience in the marketing and advertising industry. Before joining The Insight Collective, he spent many years at Foundry, where he worked on strategic partnerships and led one of the company’s international sales teams. His work included developing relationships across the industry and collaborating with advertising agencies and their clients.

In his new role, Hannam will focus on strategic partnerships for The Insight Collective, with responsibilities centered on developing industry relationships and supporting the organization’s partnership activities. The role is part-time as Hannam moves into the position while in semi-retirement.

The appointment comes as partnerships continue to play an important role in B2B marketing, particularly as businesses navigate increasingly connected media, data, technology, and agency ecosystems. Strategic partnerships can help organizations build relationships across different parts of the marketing and advertising supply chain while creating opportunities to share expertise and capabilities.

For The Insight Collective, Hannam’s appointment adds an experienced industry perspective to its partnership function. The company describes itself as a strategic effectiveness partner working with B2B marketers across areas including research, demand generation, content marketing, lead generation, and marketing strategy.

As marketing organizations place greater emphasis on measurable outcomes and closer alignment between marketing and commercial functions, experienced partnership leadership can have a role in connecting organizations with relevant industry networks and opportunities.

Hannam’s move marks another example of experienced advertising and marketing professionals taking on advisory and partnership-focused roles later in their careers.
