Pragmatic AI capabilities, new integrations with Gemini, Workday, and BambooHR, and a redesigned experience helps scaling organizations turn continuous human feedback into faster, more confident decisions

SurveyMonkey introduces Today's SurveyMonkey, a reimagined platform built to make it easier for scaling organizations to access real human insights that strengthen business decisions.

For nearly three decades, SurveyMonkey, the world’s most popular platform for surveys and forms, has helped organizations find meaningful answers to questions by going directly to the source: asking customers, employees, and the market. But as businesses increasingly turn to AI for faster answers, there is a growing risk of making consequential decisions without ever hearing from the real humans those decisions affect.

High-growth organizations are launching products, entering markets, and scaling teams, often all at once. They can't afford to get decisions wrong, and they can't afford to slow down to find out. Yet new SurveyMonkey research finds that while 83% of business owners say customer feedback is useful in driving business decisions, only 54% collect it more than once or twice a year. That 29-point gap, driven primarily by lack of time and process, is exactly where AI should be doing its job, removing the manual work that has traditionally stood between a question and a confident answer.

"Good decisions start with understanding what real people actually think, and that hasn't changed," said Eric Johnson, CEO at SurveyMonkey. "AI is changing how work gets done, but businesses shouldn't have to choose between moving fast and understanding the people they serve. The best decisions come from built-in listening. Today's SurveyMonkey shows what AI looks like when it's designed to keep real human feedback at the center, remove busywork, and help every team make confident decisions."

AI that works the way you do, where you do

Building ongoing feedback initiatives like an NPS tracker or employee engagement program used to take more time and expertise than many lean teams have. 1 Today’s SurveyMonkey changes that.

1 NPS®, Net Promoter® & Net Promoter® Score are registered trademarks of Satmetrix Systems, Inc., Bain & Company and Fred Reichheld. From the moment teams sign in, SurveyMonkey now offers a personalized starting point based on their goals and past work, so building a survey-or an entire listening program-begins with a relevant recommendation rather than a blank page. Writing a survey is faster than ever with a new conversational AI survey-building experience that lets users describe what they want in plain language, while SurveyMonkey AI adjusts questions, applies logic, and refines surveys in real time. By taking care of the mechanics and methodology, the new experience helps teams move from an idea to a live listening program faster, making feedback practical for everyday decisions instead of just major initiatives.

Once results start coming in, SurveyMonkey AI automatically analyzes them and surfaces the most important findings, with plain-language explanations of what they mean.

SurveyMonkey is also bringing real human feedback directly into the AI tools where many teams already work. Existing integrations with Claude and ChatGPT let teams create surveys, analyze responses, and access customer and employee insights without leaving their AI workplace. A new Gemini connector is coming soon, extending that same experience directly within Google's Gemini Enterprise Application chat interface. Together, these integrations let teams work with SurveyMonkey wherever they choose to use AI, keeping real human input at the center of decisions instead of AI-generated assumptions.

From ongoing understanding to deeper employee insight

Millions of people already use SurveyMonkey to understand and improve employee experience and corporate culture. As part of Today’s SurveyMonkey, the company will also be announcing a new human resource information system (HRIS) integration that connects SurveyMonkey with Workday or BambooHR. HR teams can use their integration of choice to build audiences from real-time employee data, automatically enrich responses with attributes like department, location, and tenure, and analyze results in the context of their organization, without manually stitching data together for every survey. The result: easier employee experience trackers, less time managing employee lists, and more time understanding what the feedback is actually telling them.

More than 27 years of data, put to work

Collecting feedback is only part of the equation. Knowing whether your results are actually good requires context. An overhauled Benchmarks experience coming to the platform before the end of the year automatically compares results against similar organizations using more than 27 years of SurveyMonkey's proprietary feedback data, helping teams understand how they stack up and where they have opportunities to improve. For growing organizations without dedicated research teams, that kind of real-world context has historically been difficult or expensive to access. A scaling company will be able to know whether its NPS score is strong for its industry, or whether its organizational health score is where it should be, without hiring a research firm to find out.

A new look, built for the way businesses work now

Finally, a redesigned product experience offers a cleaner interface, simplified navigation, and a refreshed visual identity, bringing Today’s SurveyMonkey into the modern era, deeply connected to how teams work today. A personalized home experience opens with recommendations tailored to your goals and the work you're already doing, helping you get meaningful feedback faster.

High-growth organizations count on Today’s SurveyMonkey to turn bold ideas into confident decisions

Noom, the leading behavior change platform, is one example of a high-growth organization putting that belief into practice. When developing Mindful Art Break, a feature designed to improve users’ emotional well-being through guided art experiences, Noom turned to SurveyMonkey to gather feedback at scale, growing from 100-person pilots to a 5,000-person study in just 8 weeks, ultimately reaching nearly 25,000 respondents. The result was a decision backed by evidence rather than assumption, and a feature that achieved 50% weekly retention among more than 300,000 members.

"When you're running a study at this scale, it's not just about the sample size. It's about managing complexity without sacrificing the science. SurveyMonkey allowed us to do both," said Myles Johnson, product manager at Noom.

The updates begin rolling out in September 2026 across various SurveyMonkey plans. Learn more at https://www.surveymonkey.com/curiosity/todays-surveymonkey-ai-powered-surveys/.

Methodology

This SurveyMonkey study was conducted from July 16-30, 2026 among a sample of 963 self-identified small business owners ages 18 and up. Respondents for this survey were selected from the more than 2 million people who take surveys on the SurveyMonkey platform each day. The modeled error estimate for this survey is plus or minus 3.0 percentage points for the results among small business owners. Data for small business statistics have been weighted according to business and owner characteristics (industry, number of employees, geography, gender, and race) according to the 2022 Census Bureau’s Annual Business Survey (ABS).
