Mintel operates as a market intelligence company, combining consumer research, market data, product intelligence, and expert analysis. The company says it tracks 40,000 product launches each month across 86 economies and speaks to more than one million consumers across four continents.
The promotion comes as market intelligence providers increasingly combine traditional research with data science and AI-powered analytics. Mintel says its technology capabilities include data science for identifying trends and patterns, as well as AI-powered analytics designed to process and interpret large volumes of information.
Commercial operations roles are also evolving alongside these changes. Beyond managing internal processes, they increasingly involve coordinating sales, customer-facing teams, data, technology, and operational functions around how research and intelligence products reach users.
Nunns’ expanded role therefore comes within a broader shift in the market intelligence sector, where technology is changing how consumer and market data is collected, analyzed, and delivered.
Her promotion adds commercial operations leadership to Mintel as the company continues to manage a global business spanning research, consulting, data, and technology-enabled intelligence services.
