MNTN has appointed Mike Katz to its Board of Directors as the Connected TV advertising technology company continues to expand its focus on performance-driven television advertising.

Katz brings nearly three decades of experience at T-Mobile to the board. He most recently served as the company’s Chief Business & Product Officer and continues to work with T-Mobile as a strategic advisor to its CEO. During his tenure, Katz held leadership roles spanning marketing, strategy, product, corporate development, communications, and business operations.

His work at T-Mobile included involvement in the development of the company’s “Un-carrier” strategy, as well as leadership across its business and enterprise operations. As President of the T-Mobile Business Group, he also worked on initiatives involving enterprise and government customers, including Project 10Million.

For MNTN, Katz’s experience connects large-scale advertiser needs with technology, marketing strategy, and business development. His background also comes as Connected TV continues to bring together television’s traditional reach with digital advertising capabilities such as audience targeting, campaign automation, and performance measurement.

MNTN provides software designed to help advertisers manage Connected TV campaigns and measure outcomes such as conversions, revenue, and website visits. The company has been expanding its leadership team as it develops its Performance TV offering and works to increase the role of CTV within performance marketing strategies.

Katz said the board appointment will allow him to work with MNTN’s leadership as the company develops its next phase. His addition gives the board experience from the perspective of a major advertiser, alongside his background in technology, marketing, and business strategy.

The appointment reflects the broader convergence of television advertising and digital performance marketing, where measurement, audience data, and software-based campaign management are becoming increasingly important to advertisers.
