Robert DeSalvo Returns to Perion as Managing Director, Americas

Perion has welcomed back Robert DeSalvo as Managing Director, Americas, returning him to a company where he previously held senior commercial leadership positions. In his new role, DeSalvo will lead commercial strategy and revenue operations across the Americas, with responsibility for brand and agency relationships and regional growth initiatives.
DeSalvo’s return follows a career move outside Perion after more than a decade with the business. He joined the company as a senior account executive and progressed through leadership roles, including Chief Revenue Officer and Managing Director, Americas. He later served as President of North American Operations at Pixellot before returning to Perion.
His appointment comes as the advertising industry continues to manage a more fragmented media environment. Brands and agencies are working across connected TV, digital out-of-home, retail media, social platforms, and web advertising, creating greater pressure to coordinate media investments and evaluate performance across channels.

Perion’s announcement places DeSalvo’s remit within this changing commercial landscape. The company said he will focus on strengthening relationships with brands and agencies while supporting its growth strategy across the region.
In his own announcement, DeSalvo described the return as a homecoming and pointed to Perion’s current Perion One and Outmax platforms, which bring together several advertising channels and an AI-based optimization engine. These developments provide context for the role, although the company has not detailed specific targets for his new mandate.
For marketing and advertising teams, the move highlights the growing importance of commercial leadership that can connect media capabilities with client requirements. As advertisers seek more consistent measurement and greater coordination across channels, agency relationships and revenue operations are becoming increasingly connected to technology, data, and campaign performance.
DeSalvo’s return also reflects the value of leadership continuity in a rapidly changing adtech market. His previous experience at Perion, combined with time in sports technology, gives him a perspective across different media environments as he takes on the Americas remit.
