WPP Media has promoted Devyani Singh to Associate Vice President, adding a new senior leadership role within its India operations.

Singh’s move comes as WPP Media continues to develop its integrated approach across media, data, technology, and marketing services. The company operates as WPP’s global media organization, bringing together media capabilities with data, technology, commerce, and measurement functions.

The promotion also reflects the broader evolution of media organizations, where marketing roles are increasingly connected to data, digital platforms, audience intelligence, and performance measurement. As advertisers manage fragmented consumer journeys across search, social, video, commerce, and other channels, media teams are taking on responsibilities that extend beyond campaign execution.

WPP Media has been expanding its India organization across several areas, including programmatic, social, analytics, data, and media management. Its current India operations include dedicated teams working across media management and delivery, technology and data, and client solutions.

The timing also comes as artificial intelligence becomes more embedded in marketing planning and execution. Recent industry discussions involving WPP Media in India have highlighted the growing role of AI across search, paid media, performance marketing, content, and social media, alongside the challenge of managing fragmented consumer journeys and measurement.

For Singh, the Associate Vice President role adds another level of responsibility within WPP Media’s India business. The promotion places her within an organization that is increasingly structuring media around the connection between audience data, technology, content, commerce, and business outcomes.

The move reflects a wider shift in agency organizations toward integrated marketing functions, where leadership roles increasingly span multiple disciplines rather than operating within a single media channel.
