Omnicom Media Australia Names Molly Trumble as Group Planning Director

Omnicom Media Australia has named Molly Trumble as Group Planning Director, taking on a newly created planning role spanning OMD WA and Initiative in Western Australia. The appointment brings strategic planning across the two agencies under a dedicated leadership position.
Based in Perth, Trumble will work across Omnicom Media’s Western Australian client portfolio, developing communications strategies and identifying opportunities across established and emerging media channels. Her remit includes connecting planning, data and audience insights with communications activity across the group’s agencies.

The newly created role comes as media planning becomes increasingly connected to data, technology and a wider range of channels. Agencies are managing campaigns across digital, social, video, programmatic, connected television and other emerging environments, increasing the need for planning functions that can bring these elements together.
For Omnicom Media’s Western Australian operations, Trumble’s appointment creates a single planning leadership role across OMD WA and Initiative. The structure is intended to provide greater coordination between the two agencies while supporting communications planning for clients in the region.
Trumble’s move also reflects the changing scope of media planning roles, which increasingly extend beyond channel selection to include audience insights, data interpretation, emerging platforms and broader communications strategy.
With the new position, Omnicom Media Australia is placing planning across its OMD WA and Initiative operations under one dedicated leadership remit, adding another layer to the group’s media strategy and client operations in Western Australia.
