Carat has promoted Bram Meuleman to Global Chief Planning and Intelligence Officer, placing him in a newly created global role focused on planning, intelligence, and strategic development across the media agency.

Meuleman will work under Chrissie Hanson, Carat’s Global Brand President and North America Media Practice CEO. His new position is part of a broader restructuring of Carat’s global strategy and planning functions, with the agency creating dedicated leadership roles for planning, intelligence, strategy, and innovation.

Meuleman has worked across media and creative disciplines, with experience connecting strategic planning with business and client objectives. In his new role, he will focus on bringing intelligence, evidence, and behavioral insights into Carat’s global media planning approach.

The promotion comes as media planning becomes increasingly data-driven and complex. Marketers are working across a growing number of digital platforms, audience environments, content formats, and measurement systems, increasing the need to connect planning decisions with reliable audience and behavioral data.

Carat’s new planning and intelligence structure also reflects the changing role of media agencies. Planning teams are increasingly expected to combine traditional audience insights with data analytics, technology, cultural signals, and emerging media opportunities.

Meuleman’s expanded remit will sit alongside Sarah Stringer’s newly created role as Global Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer. The two positions are designed to connect strategic thinking, planning, intelligence, and innovation within Carat’s global organization.

Carat operates as part of dentsu and provides media planning, buying, strategy, data, analytics, and related services across international markets. The agency has more than 12,000 employees across more than 100 countries, according to its company profile.

Meuleman’s promotion gives planning and intelligence a dedicated global leadership remit as Carat continues to adapt its media strategy around increasingly fragmented audiences, expanding data sources, and changing technology.
