Meta Names Ravi Garg Managing Director, Enterprise Business, APAC

Meta has appointed Ravi Garg as Managing Director, Enterprise Business for Asia-Pacific (APAC), expanding his responsibilities after more than five years leading WhatsApp’s business messaging and payments operations in India.

Garg served as Country Director for Business Messaging and Payments at WhatsApp from July 2021 to September 2026. During that period, he led the development and expansion of the platform’s business messaging and payments operations in India, building the business from the ground up.

In his new role, Garg will focus on expanding Meta’s enterprise business across APAC. His remit includes bringing the company’s business messaging offerings, Meta Business Agent, and Muse APIs to organizations across the region as businesses explore AI applications for customer engagement, services, and go-to-market operations.

Before joining WhatsApp, Garg spent 13 years at Microsoft in senior positions spanning sales, strategy, business planning, and channel management. He also served as Chief Operating Officer at Nazara Technologies and held a general management role at Sify, adding experience across technology, commercial operations, and business development.

The appointment comes as Meta expands its focus on enterprise AI and business tools.
