Publicis Groupe Appoints Robin Girdhar as Director, Media Planning & Buying

Publicis Groupe has appointed Robin Girdhar as Director - Media Planning & Buying, adding experienced media planning and advertising leadership to its team.
Girdhar joins Publicis Groupe from Times Internet, where he spent nearly two years working in agency relationships. His move marks a return to the agency side of the media business, following experience across both media planning and publisher-side operations.

He previously worked as Group Head - Digital at Motivator, part of GroupM, where he managed media planning for brands including Unibic, Simplilearn, 1 Finance, Moneyview, Dunzo, and Slice. Earlier in his career, he held a Digital Media Planner position at DDB Mudra Group.
His professional experience spans digital media planning, campaign management, account relationships, and media buying. This combination provides exposure to different aspects of the advertising ecosystem, from developing media strategies to understanding agency-publisher relationships.
The appointment comes as media planning and buying continue to evolve amid changes in digital advertising, audience behavior, and measurement practices. Advertisers are increasingly working across search, social media, online video, connected TV, and programmatic platforms. Managing these channels requires agencies to balance audience targeting, campaign performance, budget allocation, and measurement.
As media investments become more data-driven, planning teams are also expected to connect campaign execution with broader business objectives. Experience across agency and publisher environments can offer useful perspectives on media buying decisions and partnership management.
