Social Enterprise Kent Promotes Claire Shelton to Deputy CEO

Social Enterprise Kent has promoted Claire Shelton to Deputy Chief Executive Officer, expanding her leadership responsibilities within the community-focused organization.

Shelton has been part of Social Enterprise Kent’s leadership and governance structure, having been appointed as a company director in November 2022, according to Companies House records.

Social Enterprise Kent has operated since 1985 and works with individuals, businesses, and community organizations across Kent and Medway. Its activities include support for people and organizations, training, business support, and programs for the voluntary, community, and social enterprise sector.

As Deputy CEO, Shelton takes on an expanded leadership position within an organization that works across community development, skills, business support, and social enterprise initiatives. The role comes as organizations in the social enterprise sector continue to balance community-focused programs with operational and organizational requirements.
