WPP Media has appointed Christopher Paul as Senior Vice President, Client Services, where he will lead the agency’s business in Tamil Nadu, India. Based in Chennai, Paul will oversee client relationships, business operations, strategic direction, and growth across accounts in several sectors.

Paul brings more than 20 years of experience in media planning, buying, strategy, and client management. Before joining WPP Media, he spent over a decade at Motivator, part of GroupM Media India, where he served as Client Leader before becoming General Manager, a role he held until August 2026.

His earlier agency experience includes leadership positions at OMD India, where he worked as Business Director and General Manager. He also held media planning and account management roles at Starcom MediaVest Group India and Madison Communications. Throughout his career, Paul has worked with brands across automotive, consumer goods, technology, tourism, and financial services, including Renault India, Yamaha Motors, Heinz, Godrej Consumer Products, and Intel.

The appointment comes as media agencies manage increasingly complex client requirements across traditional advertising, digital channels, data, and performance measurement. Client services leadership now involves more than campaign oversight, with responsibilities often spanning integrated media strategy, coordination across specialist teams, and alignment between marketing activity and business objectives.

For WPP Media’s Tamil Nadu operations, Paul’s role brings together regional business management and senior client leadership across a diverse portfolio. The position also reflects the importance of local market knowledge as brands adapt media strategies to changing consumer behavior and evolving digital platforms.

As media planning and activation become more integrated with data and technology, client services leaders are increasingly responsible for connecting strategic decisions with campaign execution and measurable outcomes. Paul’s appointment adds experienced media leadership to WPP Media’s regional operations in India.
